Story of Biryani
One legend has it that the Turk-Mongol conqueror, Timur, brought the precursor of biryani with him when he arrived at the frontiers of India in 1398. An earthen pot full of rice, spices and meats would be buried in a hot pit before being eventually dug up and served to the warriors. We stay true to the authentic way of cooking Biryani by using a sealed handi/pot known as "Dum".
A dish favored by The Royals (The Maharaja) is definitely worth a try.
